UKOS products are distributed from warehouses in Hemel Hempstead and Knutsford guaranteeing a full nationwide next day delivery service anywhere in the UK.

75% of all deliveries are made by UKOS owned vehicles and employed drivers, the remainder being undertaken via a trusted carrier partner.

UKOS warehouse and delivery staff are amongst the best in the business with picking errors accounting for only 0.15% of all orders and 99.5% of all deliveries reaching their destination on time.

This means that UKOS keeps the indirect costs associated with ordering office and business supplies to a minimum, generating greater savings for your organisation or company.

Buncefield Oil Depot Blast

The efficiency of the UKOS warehousing and distribution staff was proven in the aftermath of the Buncefield Oil Depot blast in December 2005, an event that seriously damaged the Hemel Hempstead warehouse.

Immediately following the blast UKOS was able to provide a full service to all of its clients across the UK as operations and distribution were seamlessly transferred to the Knutsford warehouse.

Commenting on the efficiency of the UKOS disaster recovery plan, Dee Hoseason, Facilities Manager at Added Value reported after the event:

Around lunchtime on the Monday after the Buncefield incident, our account manager at UKOS rang to advise us that the order we had placed the previous Friday would be delayed for 48 hours, and apologized profusely.

She also checked whether there were any particularly urgent items we needed so she could have delivered these personally.

UKOS’s business continuity plan was certainly robust and fully in place as indicated by the uninterrupted service they continued to give us.
