National Carbon Footprint Day!
UKOS supporting the worlds first National Carbon Footprint Day!
The 2nd October 2008 marks the worlds first National Carbon Footprint Day www.nationalcarbonfootprintday.org.
UKOS employees have embraced the day pledging to measure their annual footprint through the site with the rest of the nation.
The aim of the day is to encourage people all over the UK to become aware of and to measure their carbon footprints and to take practical steps to reducing their footprints as much as possible in the coming year though reductions in Electricity, Gas, Vehicle usage, water, and flights.
National Carbon Footprint day will be incorporated into the UKOS Carbon Club, a voluntary scheme by UKOS employees to reduce personal carbon footprints and work together as a team to minimise energy usage and waste throughout the company.
