Who Guides The Team
CEO — Roy Cowan
Roy joined UKOS as Managing Director in 2001 coming from his previous position as Chairman of Guilbert UK. Roy has over 40 years experience within the office products industry managing a number of very successful companies, and brings a wealth of knowledge that has enabled UKOS to grow rapidly to where it is today.
Managing Director — Ian Haywood
Ian was a founding member of UKOS in 2000, and was appointment Managing Director at the beginning of 2006 having held a number of Board positions within UKOS including Logistics Director and later Sales Director. Ian is responsible for both the day–to–day running of the company and developing business plans for the long term future of UKOS.
Sales Director — Andy Stannard
Andy joined UKOS in 2001 as the Northern Sales Director responsible for all aspects of the northern sales team and its distribution centre. Andy has held a number of senior positions over the last 30 years within the office products industry, having come from Guilbert UK where he was a Divisional Sales Director.
National Account Director — Owen Andrew
Owen joined UKOS in 2001 and has overall responsibility for National/Major accounts and Furniture sales. Prior to joining UKOS, Owen held a number of senior positions within sales for many years and was also Sales Director and co–owner of a successful stationery company.
Finance Director — Jerry Young
Jerry was a founding member of UKOS in 2000 and is responsible for all finance, legal, company secretarial matters and also HR responsibilities. Prior to UKOS, Jerry held a number of senior financial positions within the office products industry, finishing with being the Finance Director of Guilbert UK. Jerry is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Information Technology Director — Peter Gowing
Peter was a founding member of UKOS, and has full responsibility for all IT functions within the company. Peter has over 20 years IT experience within the office products industry having held a number of senior IT positions and was the Group IT Manager for Guilbert UK prior to UKOS. All queries relating to Hardware, Software, Applications, Technical Support and E–commerce should be directed to Peter and his team.
Commercial Director — Terry Coulson
Terry was a founding member of UKOS in 2000 and has full responsibility for all Purchasing, Stock Control, Marketing and Promotions. Terry has over 39 years experience within the office products industry, over 20 of which at main board director level with companies such as Spicers, Office Team Europe, OfficeSmart, and Kingfield Heath.
